SPI is located close to Saint-Nazaire, at the heart of an industrial activity area which boasts important players of the naval world and is involved in naval dockyards, suppliers’ and sub-contractors’ activities, in the fields of pleasure boating, liners, merchant and military navy.
Treatments, applications and products are chosen, taking into account the naval environment to which naval equipment is subject to. The scope of available resources on the three SPI sites allows for the selection and implementation of the most competitive performers, in terms of adaptation and cost.
SPI sub-contracts the preparation of surfaces and applications for the following shipyards and equipment manufacturers: CMR, MAPAC, Bénéteau, Goïot, BJT (Bénéteau Jeanneau Technologies), Team Plastique, for the framework of doors, wheel helm columns, etc…
Sub-contracting for the programs of STX-built cruise ships allows SPI to demonstrate the quality of its work on cabin components, railways and luxury cabin balconies, in a universe where sense of style and durability must reach summits.
Whatever the quantities and the materials, SPI has the skills, the know-how and the references which prove our capacity to provide work that will stand the test of time and withstand the worst weather conditions
This quality makes SPI a preferred partner to shipyards manufacturing yachts and luxury liners, as well as military vessels, of which much is demanded.
The ISO 9001 certificate and the manufactures’ process audits vouch for the quality of SPI services. The experience gained confers an expertise to SPI in the treatment of surfaces and allows to develop a global offer:
Preparation of the surface using a chemical method (aluminum, titanium), sand blasting (steel, aluminum), corundum sand blasting without iron oxide (stainless steel and titanium), micro-sand blasting/glass beading (thermoplastic) and traditional manual hand sanding (prepreg).
Application of liquid or powder paint (electrostatic), powder coating, traditional spray gun application.
