Defence

SPI, a confidential Defense company, is an important player in sub-contracting and in-situ services for military painting operations. Interventions are done on new materials or during maintenance work in operational conditions.

The defense aeronautics sphere is a very good illustration of the diversity of the offer proposed by SPI. The company collaborates to the Rafale program of Dassault Aviation for sub-contracted painting works and in-situ for elementary components and sub-assemblies. The in-situ teams carry out the painting and decoration of aircrafts, for French and foreign air forces.

On the AIA site of Cuers, SPI carries out the paint stripping and repainting of naval aeronautic aircrafts. From the smallest ‘aero naval’ helicopter to the Atlantique ATL2 and its 36m wingspan. SPI also deploys a wide array of means, for operations of paint stripping, sealing, cleaning, painting and marking, on all components and sub-assemblies disassembled within the frame of MCO/MRO. SPI also carries out work on European MRO markets such as the F16 program at OGMA in Portugal.

The naval armament related industry uses SPI extensively, via some major markets, particularly for surface treatment and painting for DCNS, on exercise (MCO) and new torpedoes (MCO). The SPI teams are in charge of painting works for the Safran NGDS auto-defense system program, the radars of BEM Monge for the National navy, Herakles satellite-borne antennas on Fremm frigates.

SPI intervenes for the painting and surface treatments of elementary, big size components, such as the bodies and turrets of armored vehicles, of which the VBCI and the new multi-role Nexter VBMR. SPI carries out operations for the surface treatment and painting for ammunition elementary components and sub-sets, for mass production, under significant constraint.
